New MacBook Pro with Retina Display

If you have read my column over the past few years you will know that I am an Apple fan boy. As many other Apple enthusiasts I watched the WWDC2012 (World Wide Developers Conference) which was held this past week, to see what will be the new goodies from Apple.

A new line-up of MacBooks were announced but one of the announcements was a new MacBook Pro with a Retina display. Just as thin as a MacBook Air, but with loads of processing power. Light weight, incredible resolution and powerful! I do believe that the photographers all around the world not be able to wait to get their hands on this machine. Even though the price point is not as high as was expected it is still quite an expensive machine and will probably be available at over R20 000 in South Africa. For more information about this amazing new machine please visit http://www.apple.com/macbook-pro/
The new OS, Mountain Lion, will be available very soon and it will be available at $20 which is less than R200 for this new operating system. iOS 6 is also soon be available for upgrade. With more than 200 enhancements and upgrades on both OS systems this is a huge improvement on the previous versions. I should mention that there are a huge number of assistive technologies incorporated into the new iOS and will be a huge deal for parents of children with learning disabilities.

For all of the Facebook fans I can mention that Facebook will now be deeply integrated into the new iOS 6 this will be available on iPhone and iPad.

There are just too many new exciting advances that are made and way too many features that I can mention in this column, and I hope that you take the time to visit the website and go through the list of enhancements.
